MOSCOW MAMAKABO FESTIVAL

INTERNATIONAL MUSIC & ART FESTIVAL MAMAKABO

In Memory of Andrei Baranov

Pioneered in Moscow!

International Music&Art festival with the sunny name MAMAKABO in memory of Andrei Baranov took place in Moscow on October 31-November 1.

MAMAKABO festival has an interesting history. For five years already, unique musicians travel around Russia and the former Soviet republics with the simple idea of getting people acquainted with good music and making a real holiday. For Moscow this event was a new one, and, without any doubt, a successful one, too! And for that we should give due respect to the organizers of the fest, who managed to collect a real team of bright professionals and to the spectators, who filled the “Mir” concert hall in the centre of Moscow in spite of the rain, traffic jams and the world financial crisis. The first day started with the briefing of the festival headliner, acoustic guitar virtuoso Tommy Emmanuel.
